Honoring the loving memory of

Diamond Brown

Diamond's Story

Diamond’ Brown was a beacon of joy and warmth. Her infectious laughter and bright smile had the power to lift the spirits of all around her. Her ability to find joy in the simple things and to make those around her feel loved and cherished was a gift that will never be forgotten by her large network of friends, teammates, and, most importantly, family. Family was the cornerstone of Diamond’s life. Her faith was also a pillar of her young life. Diamond attended Allen Christian School and served in her church, Christian Cultural Center, before heading off to boarding school at the Hyde School in Maine.

Diamond’s athletic talent was nothing short of inspiring. On the basketball court and lacrosse field, she was a commanding force. Her dedication, skill, and passion for sports were evident in every game she played. As a young girl, she began playing basketball in tournaments with the AAU team New Heights. The Hyde School and Columbia College recognized her talent and awarded her scholarships. Her commitment to her sports was matched only by her commitment to her friends and family, balancing fierce competitiveness with a spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship.

Diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer in November 2021, Diamond died in March 2022. She was taken from her family and friends much too soon. The countless memories they created together will forever be treasured. They serve as a reminder of her unbreakable bond with her loved ones.
Diamond’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her vibrant spirit and loving nature will continue to inspire and uplift all who had the privilege of crossing her path. Her memory will remain a guiding light, reminding us to cherish each moment and to approach life with the same passion and grace that Diamond embodied.

Her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration. Diamond is survived by her parents, Cynthia and Jerry Brown, her brother, Jeremiah Brown, and a large extended family. As a tribute to Diamond, her family has created a fund at NETRF to support the search for cures for neuroendocrine cancer. Their goal is to sponsor a research award so other families may be spared the loss and heartbreak that they have suffered.
