Bequests and Planned Gifts

Many supporters choose to include the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation in their estate plans. These gifts — often called planned or legacy gifts — are arranged during your lifetime and create a lasting impact on neuroendocrine cancer research.
A gift through your will or living trust is a simple and meaningful way to support future breakthroughs, often with potential tax advantages.

Ways to Make a Planned Gift
We recommend working with your financial advisor and/or attorney when considering a planned gift. The information below is provided as a helpful starting point.
Bequests (Wills and Trusts)
Including NETRF in your will or trust is one of the most common ways to make a legacy gift. You may choose to leave a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder after other distributions.
Sample language
What follows is suggested language you may choose to include NETRF in your will or estate plan. Please work with your financial advisor and/or attorney in making this intention.

Residuary Bequest: Leaves any remainder after all other distributions have been paid.

In the event that (insert name) predeceases me, I give, devise, and bequeath his/her bequest or share to the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation, 100 Hancock Street, Third Floor, Quincy, MA 02171, to be used for its general purposes. Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation Tax ID: 20-1945347.
IRA Gifts and Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)
You can also support NETRF through your Individual Retirement Account (IRA).
For those age 70½ or older, a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) allows you to make a gift directly from your IRA to NETRF. This tax-efficient option may reduce your taxable income and can count toward your required minimum distribution (RMD), if applicable.
IRA gifts can also be included as part of your estate plan by naming NETRF as a beneficiary.
