John Kanki, PhD, is Director of Research for the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation. He oversees the strategic, scientific, and operational goals of the Foundation’s research program.
Dr. Kanki is an accomplished research scientist with an extensive publication record. He received a PhD in Biology and conducted postdoctoral research in neurobiology, developmental biology, and pancreas organogenesis/diabetes. As a Senior Research Scientist at the Dana‐Farber Cancer Institute for twelve years, he received the Partners in Excellence Award. Before joining NETRF, Dr. Kanki served as Managing Director at The Medical Foundation where he developed and supervised grant programs across a broad range of scientific disciplines.
Dr. Kanki serves on the Board of Directors for the Health Research Alliance, a group of over 80 private funders working together to optimize investment in health research and training, share best practices, and collectively provide over $1.5 billion annually in biomedical research.
