Stephen James Blackwood is a scholar, academic administrator, and social entrepreneur. He is the President of Ralston College, a proposed liberal arts college in Savannah, Georgia. Mr. Blackwood specializes in the literary history of philosophy. He was the founding Executive Director of St. George’s YouthNet, an educational mentoring program for inner-city youth in the North End district of Halifax, Nova Scotia, after which he was a teaching fellow in the Foundation Year Programme, a core-text program for first-year undergraduates at the University of King’s College. Mr. Blackwood has a PhD from Emory University, MA from Dalhousie University, and BA from Kings College.
