Dr. Joseph Li is Section Chief in Hospital Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He is Associate Professor of Medicine with Harvard Medical School and Adjunct Associate Professor for the Boston University School of Medicine. He was a co-developer of the first Harvard Medical School CME course on the emerging role of hospital medicine and was the co-founder of the Boston Area Hospitalists and the Society for Hospital Medicine Northeast Regional Chapter. Dr. Li earned his M.D. from the University of Oklahoma in 1994. He completed his residency at New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston before becoming chief medical resident at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He is a nationally recognized expert in hospital medicine and lectures extensively.
