Sowing Memories

Community Clean-Up & Bluebonnet Planting

On September 5, 2026, family, friends, and community members will gather near Monarch View Park in Frisco, Texas, for Sowing Memories: Community Clean-Up & Bluebonnet Planting in Memory of Ana.

This special event honors the life and legacy of Ana, whose passion for the environment inspired everyone around her.

In April 2026, Ana passed away after a courageous battle with high-grade neuroendocrine carcinoma at just 33 years old. Throughout her life, she cared deeply about protecting the environment through recycling, water conservation, and sustainable living. To celebrate her birthday and honor her memory, the community is coming together to care for the place she loved by cleaning a local greenbelt and planting native Texas bluebonnets.

Just as Ana worked to create a healthier environment for future generations, this event aims to create a brighter future for patients facing neuroendocrine cancer.

Supporting Research and Hope

All donations and proceeds from Sowing Memories will benefit NETRF, the leading nonprofit organization dedicated to funding neuroendocrine cancer research.

Through groundbreaking research, NETRF is working to advance earlier detection, more effective treatments, and personalized approaches to care for people affected by neuroendocrine cancer.

Community Partnership

We are grateful to the City of Frisco Parks Department for partnering with this event by providing native bluebonnet seeds, site preparation, and environmental education activities for participants.

Together, we are creating a living tribute that reflects Ana’s love of nature while helping accelerate research that brings hope to patients and families around the world.

Our Goal

Our goal is to raise $10,000 in memory of Ana to support critical neuroendocrine cancer research.

Every gift, no matter the size, helps advance discoveries that can improve and save lives.
