Donna is a veteran health communications leader with a specialized interest in cancer. Since early 2017, Donna has worked with the NET Research Foundation as a consultant and now joins the team as a full-time employee.
“When I got involved with NETRF, I was shocked by the meager amount of recent research on NETs, compared to what I was used to seeing for breast, lung, and other cancers,” said Donna Dubuc. “How could a cancer be so overlooked?”
Donna previously served as Director of Communications at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Norris Cotton Cancer Center in NH where she produced award-winning awareness campaigns on breast, colon, and skin cancer. Prior to her concentration on cancer, she held leadership positions in several community hospitals. As a consultant, she also worked with AIM at Melanoma Foundation and Foundation Medicine, Inc.
“Because NETs are misunderstood, misdiagnosed, and misinterpreted, patients are going years without an accurate diagnosis or effective treatments. I want to elevate the level of attention paid to this disease,” said Donna.
Donna has a B.S. in Television/Radio from Ithaca College and an M.B.A in Healthcare Administration from Plymouth State University. She is a Certified Communicator in Public Health by the National Public Health Coalition. She has been an active member of the New Hampshire Comprehensive Cancer Collaboration, most recently by serving on its Board of Directors. Donna lives in Southern New Hampshire with her husband and two daughters.
