After a decade of dedicated service to NETRF, Lauren Erb will be stepping down from her role as Director of Research. Lauren first served NETRF (the then Caring for Carcinoid Foundation) as its first Executive Director and then later as Director of Research.
During the decade of Lauren’s service to the foundation she accomplished more than can be put in one article but has included developing the research portfolio, growing it from its inception and identifying future pathways forward in the treatment of NETs. Her passion for the cure and her personal touch has made this foundation what it is today. We are indebted to Lauren for her leadership in evolving NETRF’s research strategy and for helping us reach the next level research initiatives and progress. Her dedication to NETRF’s critical mission has been an inspiration to our Board of Directors, Board of Scientific Advisors, staff, patients, and supporters.
As Ron Hollander, NETRF Executive Director says “Lauren has been dedicated to the mission of research for a cure since the inception of the Caring for Carcinoid Foundation. We are more grateful than words can say – her leadership and vision have been essential to our progress and to the hope and confidence that patients, families and researchers have in our work. It has been my privilege and honor to work with her these past four years.”
Lauren has expressed her continued dedication to this mission of NETRF and plans to continue her involvement in a supporting role. “I am incredibly proud of all that NETRF has accomplished,” Lauren said. “It is the patients, caregivers, and researchers that made this adventure special for me and for that, I am profoundly grateful.”
