Todd Gilman elected President, NETRF Board of Directors
Past President Joe Li, MD, recognized for outstanding leadership
Todd Gilman, a long time NETRF board member, has been elected president at the Board’s January meeting. He succeeds Joe Li, MD, who served as President since 2017.
“It is an honor to become NETRF’s Board President, and with the Board of Directors and staff I look forward to advancing the foundation’s vitally important mission,” said Gilman. “On behalf of the entire NETRF community I would like to thank outgoing Board President Joseph Li, MD for his five years of outstanding leadership during which time great strides with our funded research and fundraising were made,” he added.
“It has been my pleasure and privilege to have served as chair of the NETRF Board,” said Li. “I am very proud of the work we have done to support researchers from the around the world to develop and discover effective treatments for neuroendocrine cancers. While the cure remains elusive, I am confident the tens of millions of dollars raised moved the ball closer to the eventual goal. My departure as board chair by no means ends my involvement with NETRF or the board; I feel fortunate I can remain on the board and continue to contribute my time, energy and resources. The board is in great hands with Todd as the new president,” he added.
Gilman is President of Circa Information Technologies, an IT professional services firm specializing in software development and infrastructure services. He joined the NETRF board in 2015. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Our House Grief Support Center, the Director’s Advisory Board at the Purdue University Center for Cancer Research and is a member of United Way’s Tocqueville Society.
The NETRF team is grateful to Joe Li for his leadership during a transformational time in the organization’s history and we look forward to Todd’s leadership.
