As we hold on to the last days of a very busy summer, we celebrate a milestone in our Spark Hope campaign. Spark Hope, our most ambitious NETRF fundraising campaign ever, was launched in July 2018, with a goal to raise $10 million for NET research. Spark Hope is supported through a generous match gift from the Margie and Robert E. Petersen Foundation.
NETRF has surpassed our goal of passing the mid-point in the campaign by Labor Day 2019. Thanks to so many donors answering our call to support NET research, we have raised more than $5.3 million since the campaign began. We are grateful to those of you who renewed your annual gifts, honored their loved ones with tribute gifts, and hosted events on our behalf. Every gift, large and small, makes a difference!
I’m sending a special shout-out to new NETRF friends in Severna Park, Maryland. The Sells family and their Severna Park community raised more than $73, 000 for NETRF at their Fight NET Cancer with Katherine event on August 24th. Read more about the terrific event in this issue.
