The NET Research Foundation (formerly the Caring for Carcinoid Foundation) is committed to funding the most promising research in order to discover cures and more effective treatments for carcinoid, pancreatic, and related neuroendocrine cancers. We use a multidimensional approach of basic and translational research, and believe a disciplined, balanced approach has the greatest potential for discoveries, which could lead to better treatments and eventual cures for neuroendocrine cancers. To date, we have awarded over $12 million in large-scale, multi-year research grants to leading scientists at renowned research institutions to fund neuroendocrine cancer research. We have funded research at 7 of the top 10 U.S. cancer centers.
Below is a listing of our notable research results, with projects dating back to our founding in 2005. All research grants that were awarded before the fall of 2015 are under the name the Caring for Carcinoid Foundation. Please check back often for exciting updates to our Research Results.
