To characterize a patient-derived, xenograft model of pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer and continue efforts to develop and share other neuroendocrine cancer models.
Characterize a recently-developed, patient-derived xenograft model through whole exome or genome sequencing to establish the mutational landscape.
Utilize tyrosine kinase and/or other signaling immunoblot array-based profiles to define the operative signaling pathways.
The lack of reliable, widely-available models is currently a major impediment to the development of new therapies for patients with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. This proposal to characterize a patient derived xenograft will help researchers understand and utilize this exciting new resource.
