David Lee, PhD
David Lee is a Principal Research Scientist in Process Sciences at AbbVie Inc, a spinoff of Abbott Laboratories. He leads an analytical chemistry team responsible for the characterization of monoclonal antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates and other biologic drugs in oncology and neurologic diseases. David also plays a leading role in the authorship of FDA filings and related CMC activities. Prior to joining Abbott, he was an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Tufts University.
In addition to his responsibilities at AbbVie, David is an Associate Director for CASSS, the California Society for Separation Sciences. He also serves as a Program Committee Member for the Symposium on the Interface of Regulatory and Analytical Sciences for Biotechnology Health Products (WCBP Conference) co-organized with the FDA. He maintains an academic affiliation as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Chemistry at Northeastern University. Among other awards, David received Abbott’s President’s Award in 2012.
